It was on that dreadful afternoon (for a meeting in the dungeons only meant one thing: it was awfully rainy outside) when Adam came up with a brilliant plan - one that would probably end in tears for more than one person. It would take the efforts of all three of them to come up with a scheme behind the idea, but Adam knew that he would succeed in the next dastardly deed. After all, he was a Waybecker, and Waybeckers knew best about... everything! He enjoyed thinking about how all the relationships in Hogwarts would disravel and diminish. Devilish? No, Adam merely gave people a reality check.
He was busy scheming in his own world to have forgotten that the dungeon classrooms were somewhat popular with other students, particularly the older years. He had been in some rather uncomfortable situations where he had walked into a classroom, suspecting it to be empty, and catching two older years snogging and doing other unspeakables. After witnessing events like these, he always made sure to knock twice before entering the room. His twelve-year-old brain could only handle so much, and seeing older years snogging made him blush profusely, though his pale skin did not always show that. One particular incident involved him and Akiva, who had been walking to one of the old dungeon classrooms. As they entered, they saw Esme Pelletier and another boy rather close together. Adam, who had always harbored a bit of a crush for Esme, walked away as quickly as possible, leaving Akiva to stammer himself an excuse. It was rather funny in retrospect, though Adam wished he could have been the boy close to Esme.
As the winds picked up outside, the drafts came through the old corridors of the dungeons, which always were a few degrees colder than the rest of the castle. He put on his cloak to warm up, though he wasn't entirely ready to go to the common room. He heard a rapping at the door and didn't fully respond, in hopes that he would be in insolation, unless it was Esme, and her company was completely welcome at any time.
