Posts: 199 05/22/08 12:03 AM Ashlin Tate Hufflepuff 7th Year	Ashlin gave the boy a weak smile as she cuddled closer to him. He had made some very good points, but she still wasn't entirely sure if she was going to join the HC or not. She wanted to help out with the fight against the Seven, but she really didn't know how she was going to be able to. It made her feel good to know however, that if she did join, Jake would be right there to support her. He would be by her side no matter what was enough motivation for her to do just about anything at that point. "I'm still unsure Jake, I mean, I really want to help, if not for the sake of the world, then at least for the protection of my family. Plus, I wouldn't know how to go about being of any help to you guys, not to mention, I don;t know much about the HC other than the little of information you have expressed to me about it." Ashlin shook her head softly and sipped her hot chocolate slowly. It was growing cold and the chocolate mix tasted like chalk as she sipped. She set the cup in the center of the table. She knew that she could have just made the liquid hotter and sweeter, being quite good at Potions and Charms and all, but her heart just wasn't in it.

Jake downed the last of his Hot Chocolate after he heated it up with his wand. It was good that Ashlin was thinking of joining the HC. Very good, maybe then he'd be able to stop worrying about her.

She gave him a shy smile, a smile that he hadn't seen since the day that he asked her out. She shrugged her shoulders involuntairly and thought about it for a second. She knew what she was good at, Potions and Charms, but she couldn't seem to figure out how that would be helpful. "I excell in Charms and Potions hon... I've told you this before, but how will that help?" Ashlin asked him, resting her head on his shoulder.

The bad part was that Jake wasn't sure if it would work out in the end. He was afraid and not ashamed to admit it. He was afraid for himself, but mainly Ashlin.

Posts: 199 05/23/08 9:50 PM Ashlin Tate Hufflepuff 7th Year	Ashlin looked up at him out of the corner of her eyes. She wished she could read beneath his outer shell, the brave face he put on. She assumed that underneath that exterior mask, was a boy who was just as nervous and scared as she was. At least, she hoped so. She had tried to conceal her laughter at the mention of making the HC members into superhuman soldiers. She wasn't that good, and Jake's promises that everything would work out were soothing to hear, but she knew deep down that it most likely wouldn't last. "So..." she said softly, giving him a gentle smile, her eyes turning back to look toward the roaring fire some ten feet away, "Do you really me to join, because, it just seems to be hypocritical of me to do so, but if you want me to... I don't know..." Ashlin trailed off, lost in her thoughts.

People do things they don't like all the time. You know?" Jake took a sip of his Mountain Dew, which he pulled out of his pocket when he finished the Hot Chocolate. He replaced it back into his pocket before Ashlin could take it from him.

If you are really good at Charms and Potions which I know you are, you could help teach the younger members. How does that sound to you?" Jake ignored the threat to get rid of all his Dews. She couldn't find them all.

She liked the idea that she could be of some assistance to the younger members of the HC.She liked kids, and it showed when she was with her baby sister, but she had never taught such complex things such as Potions. She would never tell to that to Jake, even though he would accept whatever she chose to do. It was always worth a shot to just go with it. What was the worst that could happen? 'Death' Ashlin thought to herself, staring at Jake silently. That's the worst that could happen to not only herself, but those who she could be teaching. What if the things that she taught them weren't good enough? She had to at least. As long as Jake approved, it would be ok. At least, that is what she would just have to tell herself. "I like that idea." she told him with a small grin, masking all signs of doubt behind that brilliant smile.

She had had a good time, even though it was short, any bit of time spent with Jake would always be fun. She took his hand in her own and leaned up to give him a small kiss on the cheek. "You're right, I do have to go. I also have to get in touch with Dante at some point about the HC. Maybe I'll do that when I get back." she said shortly, flicking a small tuft of hair from hewr eyes.

She wore her long trench coat with a scarf and gloves. Her black curly hair flowing as she walked. She hadn't seen Jake in a long time since he had graduated, and she knew that he loved to hang out at the three broomsticks. She then saw him there. But her heart sank to the ground when he saw him with another girl who had just kissed him. A cold tear ran down her cheek and she quickly wiped it away. She walked up to the door and bumped into his shoulder hard as she entered The Three Broomsticks.
