Full Name: Leone 'Lies' Florence (Commonly called 'Lies')
Age and Year: 17, 7th year
Wand: 14 inches, holly, dragon heartstring
Blood Type: Pure
Physical Description:
Blessed with dark wavy brown hair that frames her heart shaped face, Lies has been considered attractive by many around her. Her blue-green eyes
resemble a cat's and merge with the rest of her face. She is fair complexioned and has full, slightly pouty lips and is slim and tall for her age. Her nose
is powdered with light brown freckles which she covers with make-up and she has a light brown scar at the back of her hand acquired after falling from her
broomstick at a young age.
Personality:
Lies is an example of what happens when you actually take in everything a proud Pure-blood family preaches. She's grown to look down on
everybody who she feels 'just isn't good enough'. Which, predictably, includes Muggleborns and Half-bloods. She is comfortable with treating them
like dirt as she feels they shouldn't be a part of their world. She wholeheartedly agrees with The Seven with their goal to rid the world of 'Muggle
filth and everything related to them' to make the world pure.
She's also rather haughty with everyone. She believes herself to be a step higher than everyone and is extremely proud of being a Florence, a pure-blood
family who indirectly supports The Seven. She however doesn't want to join The Seven after school despite the fact that it is her father's plan for her
to do so. She believes that it is too risky and would instead prefer to be an editor of the newspaper, which she believes is a more powerful position than
people think, as it has the power of influence.
She's also known to be cold, unperturbed with almost everything, short-tempered, sharp-tongued and sarcastic. Yet despite her icy exterior, she's also
extremely insecure. She's scared of being alone, she's scared of being abandoned and betrayed and she's scared of losing. However, she'd rather
die than let anyone know her weakness.

Born to James and Victoria Florence on a cold winter's day, Leone Florence (nicknamed 'Lies') was a small, pale baby with masses of dark brown hair all Florences were known to possess. Though James was disappointed that the baby wasn't a boy, he managed to appear pleased for Victoria's sake. He comforted himself with the thought that after all with good breeding, gender would seldom matter. The years following the birth of Leone Florence proved how right he was about that. With a governess who taught Lies everything a child from a good, pure-blooded family ought to know, Lies slowly morphed into the child the Florences hoped for.
Although Lies had inherited Victoria's gentleness, the efforts of her governess and the environment she grew in was partially responsible for her metamorphosis into a tough, elegant and well-read person. She was taught to despise anyone who wasn't pure-blood openly and to be proud of one's family as it was family who would stand by you when the rest of the world deserted you. She was taught to scorn tears, hide disappointment and to never openly display weakness. In short, everything she learned during her childhood was responsible for her icy exterior and the coldness about her.
Her aunts, Amy and Jessica would visit her now and then and they appeared to be the only figures in the Florence family who were unafraid to show love openly. They spoilt her, teased her and made her laugh. Despite the fact that she loved her family, sometimes it seemed like she lived for those visits. Then her aunt Jessica married a muggle and moved away and became a symbol of shame in the family. She was portrayed as an example of how foolish actions like associating oneself with muggles would bring one's ruin.
The lesson was highlighted further more as her aunt returned years later with a blonde child who looked nothing like a Florence in a dreadful state, as her muggle husband her walked out on her after he'd heard that she was a witch. At first, it had made Leone hate muggles more and followed her fathers' advice by refusing to have anything to do with Simone, Jessica's half-blood daughter two years younger to her. But that was before the night when she had stood outside her father's study and overheard him talking about how the Florences had hired someone to kill Jessica's muggle husband and dispose his body, so that it would look like he'd run away from her.
What Lies heard affected her deeply. She finally understood what her father had always meant by 'clearing the world of muggle filth'. She understood what he meant when he said that if extreme means were neccessary to do this, so be it. If destroying his sister's life was all it took to preserve the purity of the Florence family, so be it.
The next few weeks, she barely spoke to her father, more out of shock than hatred. Her father barely noticed the fact that she was ignoring her, as he reminded her about how the family was leaning on her and she had to secure nothing less than six Os in her OWLs (this was during the summer before her fifth year). As after all, he hoped she would join The Seven. It would make the Florences more powerful.
Yet as time progressed, Lies became more and more against the idea of joining The Seven. Maybe it was Victoria Florence's gentleness she'd naturally inherited taking over again. She could scorn impure blood, mock it, taunt it, despise it...she could even take people killing muggles to an extent...but she could never be the killer. It was too risky. And as ashamed as she was to admit it, the thought of killing someone who had a whole life ahead, who was a breathing, dreaming, loving specimen like her was...something she just couldn't do. And if she joined The Seven, she knew that would be a part of the job.
Though she still hasn't told her father this (she knows he'd be furious), she knows she's made up her mind. And so she's ready for her 7th year, aware that time has run out and sooner or later she'd have to face the prospect of where her future lies...and face the music.
