This might have been the first game that she had ever played during which Atalanta had a slightly difficult time concentrating. As she looked for the golden snitch, she felt her eyes drift down towards the game, and towards Etienne several times. Several times she had shaken her head, trying to force her thoughts to remain only on the game, only to find herself glancing down at him again later. Jennifer Anne grimaced as she saw an aggressive bludger heading her way. She tried to swerve from it's path, but it seemed attracted to her, for even as she turned, it stayed on target. With her successful steal, Lauren felt a rush of adrenaline like no other, and instantly flew off in the opposite direction for the Slytherin goal posts. Youji was completly caught off guard by Lauren McMurphy as she stole the ball from him. It took him a few seconds to react which was all she needed. He turned and saw her race to the Slytherins goal posts. He shot as quickly as possible after her with a look of grim determination on his face. I am not going to be the black sheep of this team. he thought while racing after her. He flew over a couple players until he was almost to her when Bludger Bart came out of nowhere to hit him....

Unfortunately for Kiana, her reaction time wasn't quick enough. The Gryffindor stands roared their praise as Bludger Barny struck Kiana hard. While it did not injure her, it sent her off course, and there was sure to be a bruise from the impact.

ooc = Kiana, just so you know, your role play was excellent! However, since the window of attempts is 24 hours when an opposing attempt is made, I didn't have a choice but to rule in favor of Gryffindor. Just so you know

It was the first Quidditch match of the season, Gryffindor against Slytherin. Most people would be somewhat nervous at this, but Kiana Santini wasn't. She had no reason to not be, seeing as how she was quite confident that Slytherin would beat Gryffindor. Why should she think another outcome possible? Bludger Bart made one of its usual Bludger-sounds when one of the Jeulit Beaters struck it hard with his club. Now on a direct path toward Maria, it looked as though it had gained some speed by being hit so hard by the Slytherin team.

Falken's Quidditch skills were quite impressive. Though his attempt didn't go exactly as he had hoped, he still managed to defend Maria Thayer quite effectively. Barny missed Bart by a mere two inches as it was beat across the air, while Bart flew over Maria's shoulder, missing her by a hair.

Seeing a new target in its sight, Bart was now heading directly towards Youji.

Lauren McMurphy's attempt was pulled off brilliantly as her hands were able to take hold of the Quaffle, effectively stealing it from Youji. Gryffindor was now in possession, and the stands featuring people dressed in scarlet and gold shook slightly as the crowds seated inside roared their praise to Lauren.

But it wasn't all going well for Gryffindor. As good as Edward's aim was, Bradley Jeulit had now sent Edward's Bludger Bart straight back at him.
